Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Write My Book app and wmbb.cheeyell.com. Write My Book is a Cheeyell app, provided by Ekaayi Healthcare Private Limited, New Delhi, India ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to these terms. If you got the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
1. Your stories belong to you
You own everything you write, record and add. We claim no rights to it and cannot see it — it stays encrypted on your device. You are free to print, publish and sell books you create, including through Amazon KDP or any other publisher.
Please only add photos, recordings and stories you have the right to use, and be thoughtful about other people's private details.
2. Free trial and Book Pass
- You can start any number of books. The first 3 chapters of each book are free.
- A Book Pass unlocks one book — every chapter, Talk mode, export and printing — for 6 months from purchase. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and never renews automatically.
- When a pass ends, your book stays safe and readable; renew it with another Book Pass to keep writing.
- A Book Pass is for one book and cannot be moved to another book.
- Early-finish reward: if you mark a book complete within 60 days of starting it, with at least 80% of its questions answered and at least 3,000 words, your next Book Pass is offered at half price. The reward is used once, on your next pass.
- A completed book is locked from further editing; you can always read and export it.
3. Payments and refunds
Purchases are made through your Apple ID and processed by Apple. Prices are shown in the App Store for your country and include applicable taxes. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Keep your passphrase and backups safe
Your books are encrypted with your passphrase, and we hold no copy. If you lose both your passphrase and your recovery code, or lose or reset your device without a backup, your books cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. Please make backups regularly.
5. AI features
AI features are optional and use your own account with an AI provider; that provider's terms and charges apply. AI suggestions can be wrong — please check names, dates and facts before you publish.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the app to break the law, to infringe others' rights, or to try to reverse-engineer, bypass or tamper with the app or its purchase system.
7. No warranty and limits of liability
We work hard to make the app reliable, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of content that you did not back up. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.
8. Changes and ending
We may update the app and these terms; we will post changes here. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it (back up first if you want to keep your books).
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of New Delhi have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory rights you have where you live.
